My Travel Memories Children's Book Awards

Back in 2020 and 2021, I entered My Travel Memories into 2 children's book contests. I entered with no expectations of how it would do, but with the anticipation of constructive feedback. The process of getting myself mentally prepared for rejections was hard as I filled out the form to enter my book, but it was worth it because I've learned that I will never know if anything is good or bad if I never tried. So, with that in mind, I entered, thinking I'll at least get some general feedback while holding my breath, scared of rejections or successes, but to my surprise I won! My Travel Memories book won the Moonbeam Award and The Story Monsters Book Award.

I am writing this because I've been feeling stressed lately, and those moments when I had self doubts back when I tried to talk myself out of entering to those awards, they all came back. It is now a reminder for me to just take things less seriously and one step at a time. My husband always says "put one foot forward in front of the other and eventually you'll get there".

Thanks to those who has supported my book and my journey to creating this book. It is a travel companion book for children. I hope it will be a memory capsule for the young travelers to look back to when they are once become adults and remember that they were young once and to remember that they can still have fun, learn new things, explore the wonders of the world.
